Poems should come from the heart! That’s the perspective we take. They must express and communicate. Where necessary, to the extent appropriate and to enhance, they should employ  literary language in their service. And they must connect to human condition. This page presents a collection of Hindi & English Poems, inspired by various events and observations in personal life and in the communities around us.

The English Poem ‘A Life Beyond’ captures the feelings in the last days at work just prior to retiring from a long, successful career in a technology company in order to pursue a different course. The Hindi Poem ‘Khali Dil’  expresses a flow of conflicted emotions as I prepared to leave my hometown and my ageing parents lonely once again, after a short 3 week stay with them.  Manisha-Smriti, a Hindi poem,  is a prayer and a cry as it relives the tortuous moments in a teen’s life as she suffered indescribable brutality at the hands of a few deranged criminals. ‘Shoonya Aur Anant’, another Hindi poem, recalls the spiritual experience of watching the Milky Way against pitch black darkness of the sky in a remote location as the cool wind drove the waves in the lake to produce music. You might see a shade of philosophy in the poem. Then you find a few Hindi couplets on topics like love, fragrance of the native land etc.  Be on the look out for updated content on this page.
